The first edition (exclusively online) of the International Conference of Lexiculturology (JIL2021 in Portuguese), as a pioneering scientific forum for lexiculturological reflection and discussion, has as nuclear strategic purposes – reciprocally complementary – to identify, characterize and discern the disciplinary, singular and/or conjugate perspectives, of study of lexiculture, as well as to understand and determine the contribution, effective or potential, of these perspectives of study of lexiculture and, consequently, of that same object of study for the corresponding scientific and/or societal domains.
Taking into account these nuclear strategic purposes of an exploratory nature, the call for papers from JIL2021 does not establish thematic axes a priori, however, the proposals for contribution should demonstrate in a concrete manner the essential, structural, functional and/or teleological relevance of lexiculture and corresponding study perspectives for the respective disciplinary and/or societal domains.

The first edition of the International Conférence of Lexiculturology would like to honour and recognize the scientific and academic legacies of the late Professor Robert Galisson, creator of the concept of lexiculture and founder of Lexiculturology, and the late Professor Teresa Lino, researcher in Lexicology, Lexicography and Terminology at NOVA CLUNL and pioneer of the national and international foreground of the inclusion of lexiculture in these disciplines.
